Morgntown Theater Company performing "Playing For Time"

High school students in the Morgantown Theatre Company program will be presenting a production of Arthur Miller’s play – “Playing For Time”.   The play is a multi-award winning dramatization based on the memoirs of the survivor Fania Fenelon, an accomplished musician and French Jew who was arrested and sent to the Auschwitz death camp in 1944.  To evade death, Fania became a member of a women's orchestra inside Auschwitz, playing music for their Nazi captors, to workers marching out for daily slave labor, and for the condemned as they went to death in the gas chambers. This film will make you reflect on the impact on prejudice and stereotyping and role that everyone has in supporting human rights.

The play will be presented at three performances at the Historic Metropolitan Theatre, High Street, Morgantown, WV

January meeting...

The Mon County Ministerial's next meeting is Jan. 13, 2009...

We meet at noon in the conference rooms of Mon General Hospital. Bring a lunch or get lunch in the cafeteria and join us...

On the docket for the meeting is how each tradition repents of the gluttony practiced over the holidays... personally, I can't believe how much I ate... ugh.

Other business might happen as well... it seems to me that it's usually about this time of year when we elect new officers... or at least simply tell the current ones that they are staying on. Hmm... I guess we shall see.
